The Six Thinking Hats

In Creative Thinking Skills class, we were given an opportunity to learn and experience a new method of solving problems and ways of thinking further out there. It’s a really good exposure for us actually =) Sort of gave us a little taste of how the working world gets their work done. Of course not everyone applies this method of doing things, but it is a really good way to do so. If you really study the roles of each hat, it helps you analyse existing problems, solve it in every aspect, the risk involved in changes, the benefits of the new change, creative ideas to change whatever that needs changing, and what steps are needed to be taken? All these question will somehow help us solve our problems in every aspect. When you are given a problem to solve, we will somehow just focus on ideas on how to make this problem better? What can we do to make it better? But we often ignore the problems that may arise if we change certain things, without even realizing it. We tend to leave the negative facts behind, focus and focus more on, making it better that we forget. In the real world, there are so many problems that may arise though there are so many brilliant ideas being laid out.

Thus, I am very grateful for this opportunity for being able to learn something practical and very useful. XD

See the problem ahead and being able to visualize the end product

Be cautious of the steps taken

Be creative in new ideas

You need to work as a team to get the job done

Sometimes you'll have to take the risk!

Plan thoroughly!

Plan ahead and act

Look at the problems further and deeper...

Yours truly,
